Renowned Event Designs: Crafting a Multi-Zoned Event in a Single Space
RED was recently fortunate enough to work with The Bardstown Bourbon Company to help create a unique, multi-experience event within the confines of a single large room. The Saint Elle in Nashville, TN was the venue, which provided such a clean and spacious area to work with. The challenge was to transform this open space into numerous distinct areas, each with its own design, ambiance, and purpose, while maintaining an overall cohesive flow throughout the event.
The Challenge
The venue was a one large room, and the client needed six separate areas with distinct identities. Each zone had to portray a specific theme, while still having the entire space feel united.
The Space Before:

The Solution
To meet the client’s vision, we used a combination of draping, lighting, and sound design to create six individual spaces. Each area had its own distinct look and feel, yet the overall aesthetic remained cohesive. Draping was used as a flexible and visually appealing way to section off the spaces. RED also utilized custom uplighting and projections to distinguish each space but ensured transitions between areas were smooth.

Speakeasy Room (The Goose Island Lounge):
We used red draping to immediately capture the feel of a hidden, intimate speakeasy. A sound system was installed to ensure the jazz and lounge music added to the overall atmosphere, keeping sound isolated to the space.

The Discovery Lab:
To bring the "lab" theme to life, we draped the space with neutral-toned fabrics to create a clean look. Rotating geometric-shaped lighting patterns were projected around the room, creating an immersive environment. We used uplighting to enhance the futuristic feel as well.

Green Bar Room (Foursquare Bar):
This space was designed to be lush and vibrant. We used green lighting to encompass the space, and the draping was designed to complement this with a jungle-like aesthetic. Palm patterns were projected onto the floor, adding a natural, outdoor element.

Karaoke Room:
We turned this space into a lively, yet intimate karaoke lounge. RED used green draping and integrated a large TV monitor. A specialized sound system was also installed to complete the karaoke experience.
Sound and Lighting Management:
To ensure the event ran smoothly across all spaces, we provided sound systems for every room, along with a unified DJ setup for the entire event. Our team managed the technical side, ensuring that the sound was contributing to the event’s overall success.
Overall, the event was a huge success, with each area delivering its unique experience. Renowned Event Designs proved once again that with creativity and technical expertise, even the most challenging spaces can be transformed into extraordinary events.
