Embodying the Essence of an Eclipse | RED’s Experience with an Extremely Rare Solar Eclipse Wedding
Are you ready to elevate your event experience to new heights? How about all the way to the sun and moon? Our team at Renowned Event Designs feel so honored to have been featured in a unique Solar Eclipse Wedding. At RED, we thrive on turning challenges into opportunities, and we were thrilled to take on the unique task of creating a space that beautifully encapsulates both the light and darkness of the total eclipse. All of this would not be possible without the incredible work from planner Alexa Kay. She truly made the vision come to life, and we were so grateful Alexa trusted us to get the job done.
The Challenge
Our first challenge was to craft an environment that complimented both the light and shadow during the eclipse. RED needed to blend these opposites and create a cohesive look. To meet this challenge head-on, we executed a breathtaking solution.
The Solution
RED succeeded in creating a mesmerizing ambiance that captured the essence of the eclipse. Two full rooms draped in celestial-inspired drapery. One half covered in navy sheers, symbolizing the darkness of the eclipse, while the other half decorated in light blue, representing the glow of the sky. Guests were transported to a place where the movement of light and shadow unfolded before their eyes, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
The Challenge
Another challenge we faced was the need for decor along the aisle, guiding guests as they left the venue. How could we infuse this transitional space with the magic of an eclipse?
The Solution
Drawing inspiration from the beautiful moon, we provided circular spheres that emitted a soft, enchanting glow. For the ceremony, a gentle light blue hue covered the aisle in serenity, while a deeper, darker blue illuminated the exit. CLICK HERE to see our work in action!

Starry Night Dance Floor: Twinkle lighting arranged in a sun spoke pattern, transforming the dance floor into a beautiful starry night sky.
Radiant Uplighting: Surrounding the entire space with subtle uplighting, enhancing the ambiance and creating an immersive atmosphere.
Twinkle Magic: Delicate twinkle lighting positioned behind the sweetheart table, adding a touch of enchantment to the focal point of the event.
Colorful Seating Chart: An 8x8 split-colored wall provided the perfect backdrop for the seating chart, seamlessly integrating with the theme of the event.
